Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026 · C.A.R.S. Automotive LLC, 405 Scoon Rd, Sunnyside, WA 98944

This Privacy Policy explains how C.A.R.S. Automotive LLC (“C.A.R.S. Automotive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website at carssunnyside.com, request service or an appointment online, send us a message, call or text the shop, or otherwise do business with us. By using our website or giving us your information, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you request service, book an appointment, or send us a message, we collect what you enter, which may include your name, phone number, email address, your vehicle’s year, make, model, VIN, license plate, and mileage, the service you need, a description of the problem, your preferred appointment date and time, and any notes or photos you attach. If you check a consent box on one of our forms, we also record the fact, date, and time of your consent and which form it came from.

Information from phone calls

Calls to the shop may be answered by an automated phone assistant that can look up your account, schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment, and take a message for our team. Calls handled by the assistant may be recorded and transcribed so our team can review your request and follow up. Information you share on those calls, such as your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, and the service you need, is stored in your customer record.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting and security provider may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and referring URL, for the purposes of serving the site, protecting it from abuse, and blocking spam submissions. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on this site.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to service requests, estimate requests, questions, and messages you send us.
  • Schedule, confirm, remind you about, reschedule, or cancel appointments, and follow up on work you have requested.
  • Keep an accurate record of your vehicle and service history so we can serve you well on future visits.
  • Send you marketing messages about offers, discounts, and service reminders only where you have opted in.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and our scheduling systems.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Calls and text messages

Our forms offer two separate consents. The non-marketing consent is required to submit a request, because we need to be able to reach you about it. The marketing consent is separate, optional, never checked in advance, and not a condition of purchase. Each is recorded on your customer record with the date and time you gave it.

Non-marketing messages

When you provide your phone number and check the non-marketing consent box, you agree that C.A.R.S. Automotive may call or text you about your service request, scheduling, and vehicle updates at the number provided. These messages may include appointment confirmations and reminders, rescheduling and cancellation notices, questions about your vehicle, updates about work in progress, and replies to messages you send us.

Marketing messages

If you check the separate marketing consent box, you also agree to receive text messages about special offers, discounts, and service updates from C.A.R.S. Automotive at the number provided. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase or of any service we provide.

Frequency, cost, and carriers

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan. The program is offered in the United States and supports major U.S. wireless carriers. Neither C.A.R.S. Automotive nor the carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out and get help

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and stop all automated text messages to that number, marketing and non-marketing alike. You may still receive a reply if you text us first, and we may still call you about an appointment you have booked. To opt back in, check the consent box again on one of our forms or ask us in person. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call us at 509-839-1772.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing described elsewhere in this policy excludes text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third party.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the business and that use your information only to provide services to us, including our website hosting and security provider, our email delivery provider, our customer-relationship and scheduling platform, the provider of our automated phone assistant, and the technology partner that builds and maintains these systems for us.
  • Parts, warranty, and payment partners. When needed to complete a repair, process a warranty claim you ask us to handle, or process a payment, we share only what that partner needs.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our team, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.

As stated above, mobile opt-in and consent data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Cookies and third-party content

Our site uses only what it needs to work:

  • Essential and functional. Short-lived, in-browser state that makes the appointment form, navigation, and open-hours display work. It is not used for tracking.
  • Spam protection. Our forms use a Cloudflare challenge to block automated spam. It may set a short-lived challenge token and receives request metadata such as your IP address for that purpose only.
  • Hosting and network protection. Our site is served through Cloudflare, which receives request metadata for security, caching, and routing.
  • Embedded content. Our pages load web fonts and an embedded map from Google. When your browser loads that content, Google receives your IP address and standard request data under Google’s own privacy policy.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking. Most browsers let you block cookies in their settings; doing so should not stop you from using the site.

6. Email

If you give us your email address, we use it to send appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling and cancellation notices, replies to your messages, and estimates or invoices for work you request. If you have opted in to marketing, we may also email you about offers and service reminders. Every marketing email identifies us as the sender, includes our mailing address, and includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Service-related emails may continue regardless of your marketing preferences.

7. Data retention

We keep customer, vehicle, and service records for as long as needed to serve you, honor our warranty, comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, as described in Section 3.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us.
  • Ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by calling 509-839-1772, writing to us at the address below, or asking in person at the shop. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records must be kept by law.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, may have additional rights such as the right to know what personal information we collect, to correct or delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information for advertising), and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. You may exercise them using the same contact methods.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our website is served over HTTPS and our systems are access-controlled. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted on this website.
